President Trump responded to Nancy Pelosi’s retirement during an Oval Office press conference on Thursday, calling her an “evil woman” and a “tremendous liability for the country.”
The press was being ushered out of the room at the end of the press conference, but Trump couldn’t help but answer a shouted question about Pelosi.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, the 85-year-old is finally retiring at the end of her term after nearly 40 years in Congress.
Pelosi was first elected in 1987 at the age of 47.
During her decades-long career, Trump said, she “cost the country a lot in damages and in reputation.”
“She’s an evil woman. I’m glad she’s retired. I think she did the country a great service by retiring,” he told reporters.

The Gateway Pundit reported earlier that Pelosi officially announced her retirement with a video statement.
Trump responded in a private conversation with Fox correspondent Peter Doocy, calling her “evil, corrupt, and only focused on bad things for our country.”
“She was rapidly losing control of her party, and it was never coming back. I’m very honored she impeached me twice and failed miserably twice,” he added.
“Nancy Pelosi is a highly overrated politician.”
