The Schumer Shutdown Is Coming to an End – Sadly So Are the Schumer Shutdown Memes

Two men speaking at a podium outside the White House, one wearing a sombrero, highlighting a humorous or cultural moment in a political setting.

The US Senate passed a bill that will end the longest government shutdown in history.

The most extended government shutdown in U.S. history came one step closer to an end on Monday night as the Senate voted to pass a bill to fund most federal agencies through January despite no extension of enhanced Affordable Care Act credits that Democrats had spent weeks arguing were a crucial part of any deal.

The bill, which temporarily extends funding at current levels, passed the Senate by a 60-to-40 vote with eight members of the Democratic caucus joining nearly all Republicans in voting in favor, sending the bill back to the Republican-led House where it is expected to pass after more than a dozen failed votes in the Senate.

The package to reopen the government is simple: the same clean CR funding bill House Republicans passed back in September — extended to January 30 to continue our work through regular order appropriations.

It also includes full-year funding bills for our veterans and farmers —… pic.twitter.com/epRN4FY6Jd

The sad news is that the Schumer Shutdown memes will soon come to an end.

The House Dems took a big hit as well as the Dems in the Senate. Minority leader Jefferies is now known as “Dollar Store Obama”.

And more…

It’s just so ridiculously funny. Hakeem Jeffries was born to be a punchline. pic.twitter.com/O47KKGXB3K
