BTCC, the world’s longest-serving cryptocurrency exchange, reported record 2025 performance with $3.7 trillion in total trading volume and a global user base of 11 million, a 60% increase from 2024.

As the exchange approaches its 15th anniversary, it is shifting focus toward AI-enabled trading tools and expanding real-world asset offerings.

For the full year, BTCC recorded $3.27 trillion in futures volume and $431 billion in spot trading.

Tokenised real-world asset (RWA) trading saw the most dramatic growth, with quarterly volumes surging from $1.2 billion in Q1 to $22.7 billion in Q4, representing a 1,792% increase.

Total tokenised futures volume reached $53.1 billion. The exchange maintained transparency with monthly Proof of Reserves reporting, keeping reserves consistently above 100%.

Product enhancements in 2025 included a site-wide UI refresh, an updated VIP program, and integration with TradingView for futures trading.

Global expansion and brand recognition

BTCC expanded its global presence with events including TOKEN2049 in Dubai and Singapore, a Summer Festival in Tokyo, and an MVP Night during Taipei Blockchain Week. The exchange also sponsored Red Eagle Foundation charity golf events, raising over $100,000.

High-profile partnerships strengthened brand visibility, notably with NBA All-Star Jaren Jackson Jr. as global brand ambassador, bridging sports, music, and crypto communities.

BTCC earned multiple industry awards, including Best Centralized Exchange (Community Choice) from BeInCrypto.

Strategic priorities for 2026

BTCC outlined three focus areas for the year ahead: AI-powered trading features integrating risk management and execution optimization; significant expansion of the RWA product suite, building on 18-fold growth in 2025; and the launch of a next-generation trading platform spanning derivatives, spot markets, and multi-asset matching engines, alongside a new wealth management feature offering diversified strategies.

“15 years in this industry has taught us that the real risk isn’t change but standing still,” said Marcus Chen, BTCC Product Manager.

“Our focus for 2026 is translating operational experience into speed: building what traders need for where markets are heading, not where they’ve been.”
