Fox News shared the reactions of a focus group to recent examples of antics by Democrats against President Donald Trump and his administration.
The reactions reveal that Independent voters, in particular, are increasingly turned off by Democrats’ crude and partisan behavior.
The focus group consisted of 75 Democrats (blue line), 49 independents (yellow line), and 32 Republicans (red line).
The first reaction came after viewing comments from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) at a rally railing against Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) as Schumer screamed, “We will win” and “We won’t rest.”
I can’t stop laughing at this.

Lee Carter, pollster and president of Maslansky + Partners, told Fox News Digital the Schumer video was “Cringe.
“Nothing says ‘we want to help’ like a gaggle of 70-year-olds waving canes and shouting inanities. You’d think public figures would have more self-awareness and a desire to behave in a professional manner.”
The group was also shown a video from a rally organized by the American Federation of Government Employees, again in protest of President Trump and Musk, where the group broke out in a weird song in a sad attempt to relive their hippie protest days.
I can’t watch this video enough
Which side are you on?
With Musk and Trump?

“If anyone thought for half a second that would engage or persuade a single person to think/do something different then we’re in a really bad place,” the independent voter added. “I also really hate messaging that talks about ‘sides’ and think this has been—continues to be a major weakness in Democratic spokespeople messaging.”
Finally, the group was shown a video of several members of Congress gathered at the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) “Rally To Save The Civil Service” on Tuesday, where profane language was repeatedly hurled by the elected officials.
Rep. Maxine Dexter (D-OR) shouted, “I don’t swear in public very well but we have to f**k Trump!”

One respondent in the focus group said of Trump, “Sad, to say the least. We may not all agree with everything he does – I certainly don’t, but I respect the office of the Presidency and I respect the fact that he was elected with a majority. Get over yourself and be part of the solution.”
In all three examples, the yellow (Independent) voters’ approval dips sharply lower every time Democrats participate in their performative antics.
The reaction of the focus group certainly seems to underscore Democrat political consultant James Carville’s recent observation that his party is “flooded in sh*t.”
