On Tuesday, President Trump had a red Tesla, which he purchased, delivered to the White House in a move he said was done to “make a statement” on behalf of Elon Musk, uncovering billions in waste, fraud, and abuse in federal spending.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, the President posted overnight on Truth Social he will be buying a Tesla on Tuesday.
This comes amid death threats and attacks on his businesses over his leadership of Trump’s efforts to reform the federal government with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). In recent weeks, anti-Tesla terrorists have executed attacks on vehicles and dealerships around the country. The far-left, who once praised the innovation of Tesla and electric vehicles, is now also boycotting Tesla.
During a press conference Tuesday afternoon, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that a Tesla was already en route to the White House, and the President is “definitely going to buy one.”
Upon the Tesla’s delivery, President Trump explained why he was buying the car and criticized the “very small group of” Democrats and elites who are attacking Elon Musk and Tesla.
Peter Doocy: Hello, President Trump, are you looking to buy or lease today?
Trump: I’m going to buy because, number one, it’s a great product, as good as it gets. And number two, because this man has devoted his energy and his life to doing this, and I think he’s been treated very unfairly by a very small group of people.
And because he’s able to find billions and billions and billions of dollars of fraud and waste and all of the things, I mean, our country is going to be very strong very soon because of a lot of the things that he’s done, and a lot of the things that I’m doing. And there’s no better team, but there’s no better— for what we’re doing, there’s nobody like this, and he shouldn’t be penalized. And what I watched the other day, I said, I can’t believe it. It should be the opposite. People should be going wild, and they love the product, but because he’s finding all sorts of terrible things that have taken place against our country, they want to penalize them in an economic sense. And I just think that’s very unfair. So, I just want to make a statement. I’m going to buy one.
President Trump exclaimed, “Beautiful!” before jumping into the driver’s seat, likely his first time inside a Tesla. He noted that “everything’s computer.”
After exiting the car, the President roasted his old, feeble predecessor, saying, “You think Biden could get into that car? I don’t think so.”
