White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is set to deliver a press briefing at 1 pm today as President Trump receives his annual physical at Walter Reed Hospital.
The President announced his visit to Walter Reed earlier this week, adding that he’s “never felt better.”
I am pleased to report that my long scheduled Annual Physical Examination will be done at Walter Reed Army Medical Center on Friday of this week. I have never felt better, but nevertheless, these things must be done!
Earlier this week, Leavitt addressed the political and economic fallout from Trump’s tariffs.
Since then, Trump has announced a 90-day reduction on tariffs against more than 75 countries but slapped China with 145% tariffs due to their refusal to come to the table and make a deal and their “lack of respect for the World’s Markets.”
Leavitt is expected to be questioned on Trump’s tariff negotiations and lack thereof with China, new inflation data, and potential peace talks with Russia and Ukraine as Special Envoy Steve Witkoff meets with Putin.
