Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Tuesday attempted to trash President Trump over bogus poll numbers.
The fake news media attacked President Trump this week with reports claiming he has the lowest 100 day approval rating in 80 years.
“Twice as many people said President Trump deserves a grade of F rather than an A for how he’s handled his first 100 days in office, according to a new NPR/PBS News/Marist poll,” NPR reported.
“Forty-five percent said Trump deserves the failing mark, compared to 23% who would pass him with flying colors. It’s understandable that partisans would have strongly polarized views of the president, but it’s also notable that half of independents said he deserves an F, and only a slim majority of Republicans would give him an A,” NPR said.
Chuck Schumer gleefully read the fake news polls aloud to reporters on Tuesday during a presser but he quickly got a reality check.
“The polls this week show Trump has the lowest 100 day approval rating since they started polling 80 years ago! The lowest!” Schumer said.
“There’s a poll out today that has your approval rating lower than any other Congressional leader at 17%. Are you concerned that you may be a liability for your party?” a reporter asked Schumer.
“Polls come and go! Our party is united! We’re on our front foot, we’re stepping forward and going after Trump and having real success,” Schumer said.
