It’s safe to say there is no lost love between Bill Gates and Elon Musk after Musk annihilated Microsoft’s co-founder with a brutal quip during a forum in Qatar.
Gates previouslyslammed Musk for his role in DOGE with particular ire over the cuts to the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in an interview with the Financial Times earlier his month. During the interview, Gates baselessly accused Musk of “killing the world’s poorest children” with the government spending cuts.
Gates then doubled down on his vile criticism of Musk during an interview with CNN.
If it was a modest cut (to USAID) and a challenge to be more efficient… I’m fine with that, he told CNN’s Fareed Zakaria on May 9. “But 80%, that’s going to be millions of deaths, and it’s a mistake.”
While speaking remotely at the Qatar Economic Forum on Tuesday, Musk was asked about these heinous comments.
“I do want to ask you about USAID and the comments Bill Gates made the other day, which I know that you called him…” the reporter began before Musk interjected.
What Musk went on to say should make Gates regret ever running his mouth.
“Who does Bill Gates think he is to make comments about the welfare of children, given he was very close to Jeffrey Epstein?” Musk retorted. “I wouldn’t want that guy to babysit my kid.”

As TGP readers know, Epstein, who allegedly died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal conspiracy and sex trafficking charges, had multiple meetings with Gates to discuss philanthropic collaborations.
The Wall Street Journal also reported in 2023 that Epstein attempted to leverage his connection with Gates by threatening to expose an alleged affair between Gates and Russian bridge player Mila Antonova.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Epstein approached Gates with the proposal to contribute to a multibillion-dollar charitable fund in 2017. The convicted p*dophile allegedly threatened to reveal Gates’ relationship with Antonova unless Gates agreed to the proposal.
The affair and Gates’ association with Epstein were significant factors in his divorce from Melinda Gates, according to reports. Melinda Gates slammed her ex-husband for continuing his longtime friendship with Epstein despite her warnings to him about having “nightmares” about him.
