Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem was on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo to discuss sanctuary cities and illegal immigration.
“I want to ask you about the sanctuary cities that are hiding illegal criminals right now. How are you getting to them?” Bartiromo asked.
“Do you have a list of the sanctuary cities that are actually hiding illegals right now? And how will you get to them if they are hiding them? Bartiromo asked.
“We absolutely do. The President put out an executive order that directed us to recognize these sanctuary cities and to cooperative with the Department of Justice and the Homeland Security. To identify them and how they are making our jobs much more difficult to keep America safe,” Noem said.
“Some of the cities have pushed back. They think because they don’t have one law or another on the books that they don’t qualify, but they do qualify. They are giving sanctuary to criminals,” Noem continued.
“What do you want to say to those people who are critical of the President’s agenda when it comes to immigration?” Bartiromo asked.
“The President is doing exactly what he campaigned on and what the American people elected him to do and that is enforce the law. And so, we are going to do mass deportations. We are focusing on dangerous criminals,” Noem said.
“Those that think we can ignore these sanctuary cities and ignore laws so that we can keep somebody in a job, is absolutely ridiculous,” Noem said.
Secretary Noem explained that the priority is to make sure that Americans are being taken care of especially since many illegals have benefited off of the taxpayer regarding housing and food programs.
“We have a workforce and a generation of people here in the United States that have been cheated out of jobs because of illegal immigrants that have come into this country and then taken advantage of housing programs and food programs,” Noem continued.
“It’s time Americans come first, our citizens come first and that our economy thrives because we are making sure that opportunities abound for those who live in this country,” Noem emphasized.
Bartiromo had also asked Secretary Noem about the Chinese Communist Party and their ties to Harvard University.
“I want to talk to you about Harvard and what the issue is with regard to the Communist Party of China,” Bartiromo said.
“Harvard has perpetuated Chinese Communist Party priorities and students on their campus. They have allowed their students to participate in activities that are paramilitary activities and supported them in feeding information back to our enemy, which is Communist China,” Noem warned.
“Hundreds of thousands of these foreign students have come into our country and our universities have facilitated it because they pay full tuition. They have taken away opportunities from our American students and then they have allowed them to perpetuate violence,” Noem warned.
