In a recent MSNBC interview, Mamdani was asked directly about this proposed plan. He did not deny the intentions, but rather seemed to attempt to reframe it by stating that his plan is a mere assessment of the situation. This should not come as a surprise from a self proclaimed socialist, who usually hold the beliefs of “taxing the rich,” and blaming white people for everything.
