Radical Former Texas Rep. Colin Allred Launches Another Senate Run — Eight Months After Losing to Ted Cruz in Landslide

Colin Allred / X Campaign Announcement

Former Texas Rep. Colin Allred is launching another ambitious campaign for the U.S. Senate.

In a campaign announcement posted on the X platform, Allred styled himself as a man of the people.

“Everything’s backwards. Folks who play by the rules and keep the faith just can’t seem to get ahead,” Allred said.

“But, the folks who cut corners and cut deals, well, they’re doing just fine. Texans are working harder than ever, not getting as much time with their kids, missing those special moments, all to be able to afford less.”

“And the people we elected to help? Politicians like John Cornyn and Ken Paxton are too corrupt to care about us and too weak to fight for us.

”I know Washington is broken. The system is rigged,” he continued. “But, it doesn’t have to be this way.”

“You deserve someone who will fight for you. I get it. Real change might feel impossible. But I’m not giving up.”

Washington is broken and the system is rigged – and Texas families are paying the price.

Today I’m announcing I’m running for the U.S. Senate because Texans deserve someone who will fight for them.

After raising over $90 million in his last campaign from Democrats believing that he could unseat incumbent Ted Cruz, Allred ended up losing by over eight points and nearly a million votes.

He even received an endorsement from disgraced former Congresswoman Liz Cheney, a move that likely only lessened his chance of eventual success.

WOW!

1) Liz Cheney has now said she is endorsing Democrat Colin Allred over Ted Cruz for US Senate.

2) Dick Cheney is now voting for Kamala Harris over Trump.

BIG!

While Allred is likely a shoo-in for the Democratic nomination, the Republican primary is already warming up.

Texas Attorney General and MAGA favorite Ken Paxton is challenging incumbent RINO John Cornyn.

Repeated polling data shows that Paxton stands a high chance of unseating Cornyn and carrying the Republican ticket in next year’s general election.
