The new NATO initiative to arm Ukraine rubs Kallas wrong.
Not everyone is thrilled by the new plan devised by US president Donald J. Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to send weapons to Ukraine.
The novel initiative will see NATO countries (Europeans and Canada) to cede equipment to Ukraine, and buy back from the US to replenish their arsenals.
This plan sees Trump shifting the financial burden of the war to the warmongering EU powers that want to keep it going.

Chiefly among those disagreeing with the new plans is Kaja Kallas, who holds the pompous title of ‘EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy’.
Top Brussels diplomat Kallas already had opined that the 50-day period that Trump has given Russia to arrange a peace deal ‘is too long’.
‘Fifty days is a very long time if we see that they are killing innocent civilians every day’, she said.

Now, it arises that Kallas ‘insists’ that the US do their ‘fair share’ in the effort.
Politico reported:
“’We welcome President Trump’s announcement to send more weapons to Ukraine, although we would like to see the U.S. to share the burden’, Kallas said at a press briefing after Tuesday’s Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels.
‘America and Europe are working together, and if we work together, we can put pressure on [Russian President Vladimir] Putin to negotiate seriously’.”
“When asked to clarify her comments on sharing the burden with the U.S., Kallas called on the Americans to continue to support Ukraine: ‘If we pay for these weapons, it’s our support. Our call is that everybody should do the same’.”
