During President Trump’s joint address to Congress, the President honored Devarjay “DJ” Daniel, who was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer, by making DJ Daniel an honorary member of the US Secret Service.

The child, who dreams of being a police officer, was given just five months to live — six years ago.

While DJ was being honored, Democrats stood stone-faced, while the ghouls refused to stand and honor a child who is fighting for his life.

After fighting for years for his son, his father, Theodis Daniel, has confirmed to Fox News Digital that he is now ready to fight for Texas’ 18th congressional district.

Per Fox Digital:

Daniel joins a crowded field of candidates from across the political spectrum, but the father and veteran said his campaign is unlike the others.

“I’m a regular guy. I am not a politician,” Daniel said. “I don’t have six-figure deals. I’m just a regular dude trying to make it. Single dad. I got three kids to myself. I’m a disabled veteran just trying to make a difference regardless of what I’m going through.”

And ultimately, Daniel explained, he is going to “get up every day and get out there and make it happen” for the people of Texas’ 18th congressional district.

Daniel doesn’t call himself a politician but considers himself a “public servant first” because his “duty is to the people.”

Daniel, a Republican, emphasized that he is running “for those who struggle.”

He explained that his campaign priorities include supporting law enforcement, safety, healthcare, and education. To Daniel, those are not abstract ideas   but “battles my family and I face every day.”
