An angry Jake Tapper was caught on CNN’s hot mic during President Trump’s high-stakes meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
President Trump touched down in Anchorage, Alaska, on Friday to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Middle East special envoy Steve Witkoff joined President Trump on Friday.
President Trump and Vladimir Putin shook hands on the tarmac at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage and walked to “The Beast” together.
This is Putin’s first time on American soil in nearly a decade. President Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. This meeting is truly historic.

CNN’s Jake Tapper was reporting live from Anchorage, Alaska, when it appeared he was struggling due to technical problems.
“I’m – I’m fine! Just give me my show back!” a visibly frustrated Jake Tapper is heard saying on a hot mic.
“Show is back!” Anderson Cooper said.
Tapper nervously introduced embattled Democrat Senator Adam Schiff.

Democrat Senator Adam Schiff then claimed Jake Tapper’s signal went out so Anderson Cooper had to take over.
“Uh, we’re having some comms problems today. I’m sorry about that… so let’s throw it back to New York,” a visibly irritated Jake Tapper said.

A few minutes later, after the comms problems, Jake Tapper is heard on a hot mic saying, “Yeah, she knows I went to Big Ray’s” – which is reportedly a clothing chain in Anchorage.
