He described the party as “a cult that worships these weird progressive idols,” pointing to its association with extreme positions far left of the median voter. Epstein highlighted the party’s lack of self-awareness, noting declining approval ratings where two-thirds of Americans disapprove, along with dropping fundraising and voter registration numbers.
He specifically linked these issues to the Democrats’ stances on topics like gender sterilization for minors, open borders, and high crime. Epstein compared the party’s behavior to “Tim Walz going around body shaming to me is like the Taliban criticizing someone for religious intolerance,” emphasizing what he sees as hypocrisy and negativity. He further argued that without strong leaders to push back against the far progressive left, the party increasingly resembles a cult rather than a broad-based political organization.
