In an interview this morning on MSNBC, failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris discussed the federal indictment against Letitia James and decried the move as “a full-on frontal attack on the rule of law in our country.“
Harris appeared on MSNBC’s “The Weekend” with liberal host Eugene Daniels.
A federal grand jury on Thursday returned an indictment charging New York State Attorney General Letitia James with Bank Fraud under 18 U.S.C. Section 1344 and False Statements to a Financial Institution under 18 U.S.C. Section 1014.
Harris points to US Attorney Erik Seibert, who was fired by President Trump because of his close ties to disgraced former FBI Director James Comey and “UNUSUALLY STRONG support” from Democrat Senators.
“I withdrew the Nomination of Erik Siebert as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, when I was informed that he received the UNUSUALLY STRONG support of the two absolutely terrible, sleazebag Democrat Senators, from the Great State of Virginia,” Trump announced on Truth Social last month.
“He didn’t quit, I fired him! Next time let him go in as a Democrat, not a Republican.”
“A previous prosecutor, who I’m told was a conservative Republican, reviewed the evidence and decided that there was not enough facts to charge her with a crime, and she has been indicted,” Harris claims to make the prosecution look biased on every layer.

Harris: This is a full-on frontal attack on the rule of law in our country. And you know, one of the things that we talked about during those 107 days, and even before, was that the Supreme Court, during the course of the election cycle, made the decision, as you’ll recall, that the President would be immune from any of his conduct while in office. So, we went into the election with this individual, Donald Trump, knowing that he would essentially be immune from any consequence for misbehavior while in office. So, the Supreme Court basically gave him that. You look at what’s happening in terms of the militarization of the streets of America, deploying people, men and women, who have been trained to fight our adversaries or to do other important work that is about uplifting the well being of the American people, being sent to the streets of America, like here in Chicago.
You look at what’s happening in terms of the weaponization of the Department of Justice, to your point, going after Comey, going after the Attorney General of the State of New York, who a previous prosecutor, who I’m told was a conservative Republican, reviewed the evidence and decided that there was not enough facts to charge her with a crime, and she has been indicted. And what we see is that the rule of law is very much under attack by this President who thinks that the Department of Justice is his personal lawyer and is basically subverting the will of the people around constitutional safeguard.
You can’t make this up. The woman who was Vice President when the federal government and her party weaponized justice against Donald Trump, is now outrageously accusing Trump of weaponizing his Justice Department against the real criminals.
Similarly, Letitia James, who actually committed mortgage fraud, tried to bankrupt Trump with a lawsuit claiming that he defrauded banks by misrepresenting his property value for a more favorable loan.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, James, who ran for office on getting Trump, responded to the indictment last week, calling her charges “weaponization of our justice system.”
