Former Vice President Dick Cheney has passed away at the age of 84.
As NBC News reported, Cheney died of complications from pneumonia and cardiovascular disease.
The Cheney family released the following statement:
Dick Cheney was a great and good man who taught his children and grandchildren to love our country, and to live lives of courage, honor, love, kindness, and fly fishing.
We are grateful beyond measure for all Dick Cheney did for our country. And we are blessed beyond measure to have loved and been loved by this noble giant of a man.
Cheney served as the 46th vice president of the United States from 2001 to 2009 under President George W. Bush. He had battled health issues for years since leaving office.
For example, Cheney experienced five heart attacks and felt it was only a matter of time before he passed away. He received a heart transplant in 2012.
He said in 2013 he now awoke each morning “with a smile on my face, thankful for another day.
Cheney was also one of the most prominent neoconservatives in American history and a ferocious critic of President Trump.
Last year, the Cheney family decided to go all-in on Kamala Harris </>due to their deranged hatred of President Trump and the threat he posed to their deep state friends polluting the federal government.

In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump.
He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him. He can never be trusted with power again.
As citizens, we each have a duty to put country above partisanship to defend our constitution.
That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris.
